The New Montana Bands!

The new MontanaBands.com is LIVE!! It's become Montana's most extensive directory for bands and performing artists, and we've heard a ton of success stories about bands booking big gigs through the site! For that reason, we've made the site much more browse-able, and searchable. With the new search criteria visitors can search by price, genre, # of weddings played, location, and more! Make sure you update your existing profile now to show up in the new search results; or create a new profile if you're new to the site! Who knows- you might even book that big event you've been waiting for! (and if you have a band on there that's no longer together, please let us know so we can remove you).

One new aspect of the site is FEATURED BANDS. Is your band hot right now? Do you have a CD coming out that everyone must hear? Are you rockin' sold out shows across the state? Do you have a crazy following? If so, we've probably noticed. And that's why we're starting to feature hot bands. The featured slider on the home page will always feature 5 of Montana's hottest bands. And below in the footer of the site we'll feature a list of the top 20 bands.

There's a few things we look at when featuring a band:

• Music (are you recording or releasing an album?)
• Live shows (are your shows packed? are people lining up to see you?)
• Promotions (do you have an active following?)
• Links (band website, facebook, reverbnation profile?)
• Band Charts (are you ranking in the top 25 of MLM band charts?)
• Bonus Points (nice visual presentation)

Another cool function of the new MT Bands site is REVIEWS. On every band profile page fans can leave reviews. If your band gets reviews, you'll show up in the "popular" section. Show up in the popular section and your chances of getting featured increase. We like reviews, and random site visitors like reviews too.
