Jazz Montana Presents Grace Kelly Workshop

Renowned jazz saxophonist and vocalist Grace Kelly, headliner at this year’s Jazz Montana Festival, will present a workshop for all instrumentalists and vocalists. The workshop will cover improvisation, sax technique, vocalizing, and band leading skills.

Sponsored by Jazz Montana and Music Villa, the workshop will be Saturday, Nov. 5^th at 10:30 AM at Music Villa, 539 East Main, Bozeman, MT. The workshop is free and open to all interested musicians.

Jazz Montana is a nonprofit organization supporting jazz education in southwest Montana through clinics and scholarships, and offers performances by local and national musicians to Bozeman area audiences. Since 1992 Jazz Montana has brought many of the biggest names in jazz to Montana for concerts and educational programs. Such greats as Dave Brubeck, Diana Krall, Ellis Marsalis, Bobby Hutcherson, Cyrus Chestnut, Marcus Roberts, and Ahmad Jamal, along with the best Montana based jazz musicians have all appeared at the annual Jazz Montana Festival in Bozeman. In addition Jazz Montana has encouraged music education by awarding scholarships, sponsoring educational performances and clinics, and including the area’s most promising student musicians in its festival. For annual membership dues of $35.00, members receive a discount on two tickets to all Jazz Montana concerts, invitations to special events, and support of the scholarship programs and clinics.
