Electro Harmonix Op-Amp Big Muff Pi Distortion/Sustainer
The pedal relies on op-amps rather than transistors and three gain stages rather than four, to create its signature sound. It’s a sound that’s been described by noted Big Muff collector and historian, Kit Rae, as: “a huge, crushing Big Muff sound with more crunch… great for grungy, wall-of-sound distortion, heavy rhythm playing and heavy leads.”
JHS Twin Twelve V2 Overdrive
In 1963 Silvertone* introduced the 60 Watt Model 1484 guitar amplifier. Originally a student model amplifier, the 1484 has since become legendary, hard to find, and coveted by some of the biggest names in music. From the time of its debut in the Sears Catalog until its discontinuation only four years later in 1967, the model 1484 "Twin Twelve" amplifier is considered a Van Gogh of sorts as it developed a great appreciation and worth years after being discontinued. Artists such as Beck, Death Cab For Cutie, The White Stripes/Jack White, and more recently Vampire Weekend and Coldplay have brought this rare amp to the forefront of popular music. The JHS Pedals "Twin Twelve" channel drive is the first ever all analog stomp box that replicates the classic preamp/overdrive tones only found in the Silvertone 1484 "Twin Twelve" amplifier.
TC Electronics Pipeline Tap Tremolo
The new PIPELINE TAP TREMOLO is TC Electronic’s highly anticipated TonePrint-enabled tremolo pedal. With Pipeline at your feet, you’ll have access to the warm, organic sounding sinus curves of the sixties, the jagged edge rotor blade clippings reminiscent of helicopter landings, and everything in between. Whether you are looking for a classic surf sound or the syrupy wobble of the Motown era, the Vintage mode has got you covered, while the Square mode yields a more aggressive and edgy modern sound. Of course, you can always use the TonePrint mode to custom tailor PIPELINE TAP TREMOLO and make your own waves.
Caroline Shigeharu Fuzz
Using a cascading hybrid of op-amp and BC184 transistor gain stages, Shigeharu provides all the sweet singing sustain and massive flamethrower gain you crave, but with unprecedented clarity, improved punch and definition, and consistent performance wherever it sits in your signal chain – even after buffers or wireless units. Combine that with the parallel octave-up voiced fuzz available on demand with the Havoc* stomp and you have a whole lot of nasty right here.
