The Historical Collection captures Gibsons Golden age, building guitars to the exact specifications of guitars that were built back in the ‘50’s. From using the original forms to shape the carved top of a super 400, to contracting a manufacturer to produce electronincs that havent been built since the ‘60’s. The custom shop goes to any lenght necessary to build historically accurate guitars – inside and out. Nothing exemplifies this more than the ‘59’ Paul standard re-issue.
