Dunlop MXR Echoplex Delay
The Echoplex EP-3 tape echo unit is famous for its deliciously warm, organic modulation and sweet musical voice—a key component to some of the most iconic guitar tones from the ’70s onward. The original EP-3 units, however, are expensive, temperamental, and larger than a VCR. That’s where the EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in. It’s the size of a Phase 90, and it delivers the EP-3’s legendary tones with a simple control interface and a hi-fi all-analog dry path. The Echoplex Delay also features tap tempo functionality, for up to 4 seconds of delay time, when you hook up an M199 MXR Tap Tempo Switch. The dry path is all analog with Constant Headroom Technology™—providing a full 20 volts of headroom—and a choice of true relay or trails bypass. The EP103 can be set for 100% wet mode along with stereo input and output modes. No tape cartridges required!
J. Rockett Immortal Echo
With an all analog dry signal and warm repeats the Immortal Echo has an addictive ethereal sound that makes the delayed notes musical. We surveyed many Nashville touring players about what added feature they would like to see and almost everyone said “Tone Control”. We listended and did!
CopperSound Gravity Bomb Op-Amp Booster
This mini boost is the reincarnation of our discontinued Smoke Monster. There are a lot of great mini boost pedals out there, but we wanted to do ours a little different. Instead of using transistors, we utilized a Burr Brown, audiophile op-amp capable of adding around 20dB. The circuit foundation is the underrated MXR Micro Amp. At zero, Gravity Bomb is a buffer. At 10, it shakes the coins in your pocket. Towards the end of the dial, a combination of natural amp and pedal drive will be heard. Running the pedal at 18 volts will yield greater headroom and keep the signal cleaner throughout the entire dial. Amp and pedal distortion amounts will vary depending on rig set-ups.
JHS The Bonsai, 9-way Screamer
In the late 1970's the overdrive pedal was arguably perfected when Japanese engineers designed the sound that we now know as the heart and soul of so many of our favorite artists, recordings and sounds. Players ranging from The Edge, Trey Anastasio, Buddy Guy, Kirk Hammett, John Mayer, SRV, Carlos Santana and thousands more from every possible genre have utilized and depended on this classic iconic green box. If a single effect pedal was chosen to board a Voyager 3 mission and be solely responsible for showing the universe the sound of overdrive, it would undoubtably be Tube Screamer. It is probably the most produced and sold pedal in the history of guitar pedals! The Bonsai is our tribute to one of the greatest pedals ever created.
