It is very common that we do a guitar review and talk about the specific specs of a guitar, in hopes to help the buyer understand is a certain production guitar would suit their needs. We talk about the woods used, body shape and body size to help paint a picture of life with a specific guitar.

Today is little different, while we could start going through the list of features of this amazing Taylor, it is really the story of the guitar that makes it so special. The extremely limited Taylor PS14ce acoustic guitar is one of those instruments that will instantly become a family heirloom.

This Taylor Presentation Series is as always one of the most spectacular guitars offered from Taylor and features a very rare piece of Milagro Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides paired with a Sinker Redwood top.

Sinker Rosewood is literally Rosewood from Northern California that has been underwater for decades. Being submerged creates a unique characteristic that can be described as
"magical".

It is that magic, partnered with a Milagro Brazilian Rosewood back and sides that gives this giuitar it's stunning beauty in addition to amazing tone.

"Milagro is Spanish for “miracle” and rightly so. The Milagro is a spectacular “miraculous” Brazilian rosewood tree that is estimated to have germinated in the early 1600s. It grew in the area of Linhares, state of Espiritu Santo, on a hillside. Lack of water caused slow growth and resulted in a very unique spider webbing. Mother Nature blessed this spectacular 400-year-old Brazilian wood with unparalleled aesthetic and beautiful tonal qualities. When struck, it can resonate like glass with unmatched sustain ad projection"

While the woods used on this guitar are works of arts in themselves, Taylor did not stop there. As with all their Presentation Series guitars, Taylor goes above and beyond with ornate inlays and finishing touches that will impress even the most discerning eye and are topped off with a contoured Ebony armrest.

The Bottom Line

You will be hard pressed to find another guitar that looks, plays and sounds like the Taylor PS14 Limited Milagro. This is truly a guitar that you will have for years and could be passed down for generations. Its ornate styling makes it more than just a guitar, it is a conversation piece and in our eyes, a piece of art.
