What do you get when you combine country with shredding lead guitar, whiskey fueled vocals, and a feeling of rock’n’roll from a bygone day? You get a good show! Big Quinn, a longtime face in the montana punk scene, recruited a blues guitarist, a ska influenced bass player, and a punk rock drummer, and thus, The Broken Hearts band is formed. This Montana 4 peice throws punk, classic rock, and country into the shot glass, and knocks it back with ease.
Ph#: 406-223-8548 Send Emailbigsby jones
Bigsby Jones is a dynamic four-piece rock n’ roll band from the booming music scene of Bozeman, Montana. With drummer-singer-songwriter Mike DeJaynes behind the kit, studio owner and revered sound engineer Luke Flansburg on the bass, long time key player Grant Gilmore on electric piano and organ, and songwriter Tyler James on electric guitar and his self proclaimed “Spaceship”, this band is always a unique experience live. With three songwriters in the band, you can always expect new songs at each show which ensures a passionate performance and keeps this band moving their sound organically forward. Free to experiment on stage, Bigsby Jones writes all their tunes and are not afraid to flip them upside down if the moment and vibe calls for something new. Their sound has weaved them along the road to share the stage with the likes of Hopewell, Th’ Legendary Shack*Shakers, Norfolk and Western, and Great American Taxi. The overall sound of this band has emotion and tenacity rarely seen and has developed a strong local following and reputation for kick-ass, rocking live shows. The drums and bass form the backbone of this four piece, as they have been playing with one another for several years now. Tyler’s hopped up vintage guitar adds a sometimes insane dynamic to the core sound, while the keys subtly ties the vocals and instrumentation together. When asked what Bigsby Jones sounds like they decided ‘post modern classic rock’ best described them to folks who had never heard them. One minute they can be raging through a heavy organ and guitar tune and the next could be a melodic ballad. But they can also liven things up with a reggae infused tune or a swinging country jam. Their influences range from the likes of the Beatles, Neil Young, Beck and Pink Floyd. Bigsby Jones looks forward to touring throughout the Northwest and West Coast in support of their upcoming album release. Check out Bigsby’s website @ http://www.myspace.com/bigsbyjonesband

Country swing, western swing, along with classic country, honky tonk, Rockabilly and fun for all ages!
Western swing is alive & well in the mountains of Montana with the energetic music of Open Range & the Swing Stampede.
You’ll hear three-part harmony singing on classic songs such as Faded Love, Dusty Skies, Choo Choo Cha Boogie & many more. Using three part instrumental passages, Open Range brings back the ‘big band’ feel of ‘horn section’ parts, played with string instruments, which was one of the many musical signatures of the Bob Wills sound. Their music focuses on songs of the 40’s & 50’s, along with their own originals. If you like classic country, rockabilly & western swing, this is the band for you. Their newest cd, “Swingtime in the Rockies” has been receiving international airplay, reaching #2 album, and the #7 song on the Sunset Network Western music charts for western swing.
Instrumentation consists of archtop guitars, non-pedal steel guitar, fiddle, keyboard, accordion, upright bass, and drums.
Band members are: Ric Steinke, Linda Hausler, Dean Anderson, Nancy Padilla, Ron Schimpf, Michael Blessing

RUNNING ON EMPTY
Running on Empty, Bozeman’s rock n’ roll and blues band is playing great fifties, sixties and seventies music in the Gallatin Valley.
Greg Holdeman is the band’s drummer, and has played in ten different bands over the past 35 years. Mike Olson plays lead guitar and was with the legendary Sgt Rock until the band retired in 2006. Bass player Ron Schimpf is a fixture in the Gallatin Valley, nailing his five string for 25 years with Sgt Rock – but has shorter fingers now due to an evil snowblower. Chris Arnett is Running on Empty’s singer and most pierced band member. John Cribb is the band’s founder and plays rhythm and synthesizer guitar. Jamie Wallace keeps the band in line by running great sound. Although Chris does most of the vocals, everybody sings and harmonies are a focus for the band.
At a recent wedding gig the groom had this to say: “You guys played an awesome show… all I heard the next few days from people was how good the band was. Actually you sort of overshadowed our wedding (just kidding)”.
There’s a lode of cheap imitations out there, but we are the original Running on Empty! Cheerful, friendly, faithful, loyal (just like your dog) and great rock n’roll.

Western Skies is no doubt a party band. With more years combined experience than its oldest listener. Band leader Mark Longie put his years of experience to work, putting together one of Montana’s elite groups of musicians, to please all walks of life. Don’t be surprised if you hear everything, from Hank Williams classics, new country from Toby Keith, Brooks and Dunn, and Big and Rich, to ripping’ rock and roll like Aerosmith, ZZ Top, and Green Day. We play it all!!! Brides and grooms have said “We have never seen a band, like Western Skies, that pleased them, their parents, and grand-parents, to their uncles, cousins, and CRAZY college buddies, and kept the dance floor hopping all night long!!!”
Western Skies consists of 4 very talented musicians. Mark Longie, vocals, guitars, mandolin, and yes, he manages the band too! Jeff Lilly on vocals, and bass guitar. Jim Swenson on vocals, and lead guitar. And JR Damjanovich on drums, and percussion. When asked if playing music is all that they do, they quickly say no! “WE all live and work full-time, in and around the Bozeman area.” How do they do it? “With HUGE support from our families, we love to entertain, have fun, and get the crowd involved in our shows!”
Western Skies has played from the smallest bars, to large concert venues. The members of the band have opened for major artists, such as REO Speedwagon, Neal McCoy, Tracy Byrd, Hal Ketchum, Sawyer Brown and Western Underground! For your event, Western Skies will keep your wedding reception, festival, and fundraisers hopping, sell your bar out of beer, and keep the crowd dancing all night long!!!!
