I accept beginning and intermediate students on guitar and bass. My program utilizes classical, folk, jazz, blues, rock,(and yes, even metal!) songs to promote an appreciation of diverse musical styles while building a solid foundation in fretboard knowledge, chord and scale theory and right hand finger-picking and flat-picking technique. I have played the guitar for 35 years and have seven years experience in teaching. In addition to the acoustic and electric guitar, I play electric bass, slide and lap steel guitar, mountain dulcimer & tenor banjo. If you have a particular interest in fingerstyle guitar give me a call! My home studio is convieniently located near the Belgrade schools. Please call or email for more information on rates and lesson availability. References available upon request.
