These ToneLabs are freaks! …and I mean that with a good connotation. The vast majority of pedal boards birth a very digital tone, which are fine and work well, except for the guitarists who would rather haul hundreds of pounds of equipment into a gig versus use something light and synthetic sounding that would ultimately sacrifice their coveted tube tone. For these people I truly believe the Vox Tone Lab to be a viable solution. Im not going to say these pedals carbon copy a 59 Marshall top or Mesa Dual Rectifier or Fender Blackface, however, either plugged in direct to the sound board or plugged into an amplifier, a guitarist will have miles of different amplifier tones and effects at their disposal without having to descend to overly processed tone. The Vox Tonelab ST sacrifices no quality and carries on the tradition that its more expensive big brothers have set but at a very affordable price. I challenge you to stop in at the Villa and try one out for yourself!
