The solid ovangkol/spruce 412ce features Taylor’s compact Grand Concert body shape, a short-scale neck, and a Venetian cutaway for an ultra-playable fretting experience. Ovangkol shares rosewood’s full-spectrum tonal range, with a slightly fuller midrange and a bright, focused top end. The smaller body will curb the overtones and fit well in a mix with other instruments. Taylor’s Expression System® 2 pickup delivers clear, natural sounding amplified tone for gigging or recording. Aesthetic details include white binding, Italian acrylic dot fretboard inlays, a three-ring rosette, and a full-gloss body. The guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

Distinctive features compared to the original T5 include a more compact body, a 12-inch fretboard radius, and jumbo frets, which together deliver a familiar size and setup for electric players. Like the T5, the T5z is equipped with a three-pickup configuration of an acoustic body sensor, a concealed neck humbucker, and a visible bridge humbucker, plus five-way switching and onboard tone controls, giving players an incredibly versatile electric/acoustic guitar. This Collings single 0 features the same short scale found on the 12-fret 00 but with the added power and tonal advantages of the 14-fret neck joint. Although measuring only 13.5 inches in width (smaller than a typical classical guitar), the Collings 0 has tone and volume that belies its first impression as being less than full-sized. It can double as a travel guitar or a small OM, performing both roles equally well. The same neck and woods options offered with larger Collings models are available on the 0 as well, giving players an almost infinite range of tonal possibilities. This particular Single 0 was ordered with a Mahogany top to give the guitar a darker woodier tone and a great old-time look.
