Taylor’s 500 Series Dreadnoughts boast several uniquely compelling design features, including a slightly shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length and a V-carve neck with a slotted headstock. The result is an inviting handfeel with less string tension — making string bends fun — and matches up well with chord strummers and vocals. The dynamic response of the Lutz spruce top works especially well with the dry, woody sound of mahogany, producing a balanced voice with crisp highs and soft lows. With Taylor’s Performance bracing optimized for the Dreadnought shape and the model’s other features, the 510e makes a musically versatile instrument that blends well with other instruments, either unplugged or amplified with Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics.

Fans of Hawaiian koa will love the look, feel and sound of this all-koa Grand Auditorium. A shaded edgeburst elevates the vintage appeal of the solid koa top, which is paired with layered koa back and sides, while a gloss finish wraps the body in a rich sheen. The Grand Auditorium’s musical versatility makes this a great all-purpose guitar for both strumming and fingerpicking, and the hardwood koa top will even out a lively attack to produce a focused, linear voice. Player-friendly modern features include a cutaway and Taylor’s ES2 acoustic electronics. Among the distinctive appointments are a single-ring faux pearl rosette in an interlocking “fishbone” pattern, black binding, Italian acrylic small diamond inlays, and chrome tuners. The guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
Martin HD-28 MV Custom Short Scale

These special custom upgrades combined with the shorter scale length give this particular model a very warm toneful responsiveness with lots of power. This guitar now features antique white binding and GE old style Martin logo for an even more vintage look.
“The benefit of the MV Custom HD-28 Short Scale is not only the ease of play, because of the shorter neck & less string tension but there is also a great tone advantage… short scale dreadnoughts are very warm and responsive giving the guitar a wonderfully open musical sound.” – Chad Fadely (Acoustic Letter Acoustic Specialist)
