Full-bodied in both tone and stature, the aptly nicknamed “Jumbo King” is the largest size offering in the Waterloo line and a modern day tribute to jumbo-sized guitars of the early 1940s. Originally manufactured by Regal for the mail-order enterprise Montgomery Ward, this slope-shoulder body size was designed to provide performers of the era with enough volume and power for professional radio work. The WL-JK accomplishes this and more by employing a full five-inch body depth and a slightly narrow waist to enhance both the bass and treble response.
The WL-JK is available in a minimally appointed “standard” version as well as a “deluxe” version featuring added bindings, true-to-era “valve cover” tuners, and a full-body sunburst finish. Both models utilize vintage inspired x-bracing and prominent v-shaped necks with fully adjustable truss rods.

This is one of our most popular MV Custom (Hot Rod) models. The D-18 is iconic, but we’ve made it even better with some very thoughtful upgrades including a thinner (.105″) sitka spruce top, Golden Era style bracing, SS- shorter scale length (24.9″), mahogany back & sides, 1-11/16″ bone nut. Martin discontinued the short scale D-18 a few years back so we brought it back as a Music Villa custom guitar. The beauty is in the simplicity and tone of this amazing acoustic guitar!

This 814ce brings a beautiful aesthetic enhancement — a tobacco sunburst top — to our award-winning flagship model. What’s even more impressive is that a breakthrough color application process allows us to apply the rich color treatment without adding any material thickness to our ultra-thin gloss finish, preserving the premium tone-producing capability of this versatile Grand Auditorium guitar. Musically it can cover a lot of ground — its balance, warmth and articulation are great for fingerstyle, it has enough punch as a strummer to front a band, and the top-end power will fuel lead runs without getting shrill. It’s a great choice for a gigging player looking for one guitar that can cover it all. The revoicing of the 800 Series has brought greater warmth, a more mature midrange, and a looser, more luxurious low end to the 814ce, thanks in part to customized bracing. Premium appointments include maple binding and back strip, rosewood top edge trim, a rosewood pickguard, Taylor’s Element fretboard inlay in mother-of-pearl, a marbled fretboard, and new Expression System 2 acoustic electronics. The guitar features a Venetian cutaway and includes a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
