) all solid Mahogany acoustic guitar. We will get into the construction shortly, but first, take a look at the beautiful finish. Eastman accomplishes the beautifully aged finish by having the varnish hand applied to the guitar, using the same methods they use for their hand-crafted mandolins. This time and labor intensive technique provides a finish that is definitely set apart and instantly gives the ES10SS-V a vintage look.
Golden Era Acoustic Guitar Construction
The Eastman ES10SS-V is built with traditional methods and materials used in the "Golden Era"
of the '30s and '40s. This slope shouldered dreadnought is constructed with a solid Adirondack Spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, and Ebony neck with pearl inlays and a bone nut.
All this combined creates a dreadnought acoustic, that from the factory sounds incredible and projects like a cannon! Nice even tone, with very present lows and highs with plenty of volume to fill the room.
Same Guitar Build, Fraction of the Cost
When looking at guitars built with Golden Era features, a solid Adirondack Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, it is easy to find guitar costing three, four or even five times the amount that the Eastman ES10SS-V will cost you. This is one of those guitars, that if you are not married to a specific brand, you can get some serious bang for the buck.
The Bottom Line for the Eastman ES10SS-V
The Eastman ES10SS-V is not only a serious looker, but it is also a serious player. You are almost guaranteed to turn some heads when you show up to your next gig with this beautiful instrument and impress the crowd with the amazing tone. At the end of the day, Eastman is building amazing guitars at player friendly prices. It is also worth noting they also built electric guitars and mandolins.
