The Eastman E10-OOSS | Small But Mighty

(Click here to see the Eastman E10-OOSS on our site)

Famous for making classical instruments such as violins, recently Eastman has been making a huge impact in the guitar world. Their handmade instruments are taking Music Villa by storm, and they are offering a bang for the buck hard to find with other manufacturers.

The E10-OOSS is one of those instruments that you pick up, strum and all you can say is "wow". Built with mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top, this smaller-bodied "OO" size acoustic feels like your favorite pair of jeans, perfect out of the box.

The hand scalloped bracing are just one of the features that harken back to the golden age of guitar building from the '30s and '40s. The gold open geared tuners and tiger stripe pickguard just add to the visual appeal of these great guitars. But as we know, looks aren't everything, and the tone is incredible as well. This is in part to the hand-rubbed antique varnish finish. This process is the same process Eastman uses on their high-end violins and applies only a thin finish to the top to allow the top to move and sound like a 50-year-old guitar straight from the factory.

So Much Acoustic Guitar For The Money

The Eastman E10-OOSS is a ton of guitar for the price tag of $1279 (street price at the time of writing). All solid wood construction in a small-bodied slope-shouldered package that sports an Ebony fretboard, Ebony bridge, hand scalloped X bracing and a finish done by hand. To be clear, the finish is so unique you could line up 20 of these guitars and each would be a bit different.

Wrap that all up and ship it in a hardshell case and charging under $1300 for this guitar seems crazy, but that is what Eastman does and why we are loving them. Features, woods and build quality that rival some of the best out there at prices the working musician can afford. Eastman is not only doing this with the E10-OOSS but their complete line of acoustics and electrics.

The Bottom Line | Eastman E10-OOSS

For many guitar players out there, Eastman is a name that they have not heard, and if they have heard it, many people have not had the chance to play one yet. With the quality and value Eastman is putting out, we are excited to be spreading the word and if you are looking for a guitar that will rival any of the "big boys", acoustic or electric but only want to spend a fraction of the price, you need to take a look at Eastman Guitars.

If you need help finding your next guitar, feel free to give us a call at (406) 587-4761 and we will be happy to help you out.
