Taylor’s 12-fret necks feature the slightly shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length of the Grand Concert and a repositioned bridge that sits closer to the center of the lower bout. The result is a slinkier handfeel that makes it easier to form chords and bend strings, and tonally, surprising power, warmth, and sustain for the smaller body. The blackwood back and sides produce a strong midrange focus with a splash of top-end shimmer, while the mahogany top helps even out the tonal response. Other distinctive features include a shaded edgeburst top, an all-satin finish, small diamond inlays in Italian acrylic, and Taylor’s Expression System 2 pickup.

Taylor’s Grand Orchestra is the guitar equivalent of a grand piano, boasting a big, complex voice with a wonderfully dynamic response. Our maple/spruce edition features a back bracing profile that’s optimized for maple and a torrefied top, which produces an aged tonal character with greater acoustic resonance. Protein glues and an ultra-thin gloss finish minimize dampening. A new, hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance without adding extra thickness to the finish. Featured appointments include grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with ivoroid purfling, an ebony/ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, along with Taylor’s Expression System® 2 acoustic electronics. The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
Martin HD-28 MV Custom Special Sunburst
The MV Custom HD-28 “Special”. We call this one “special” because that’s what it is… not only the select Adirondack top (.105” thickness) forward shifted Golden Era style scalloped braces but also this very special Martin headstock logo. This logo may look familiar, it’s been used for years on the 41,42 & 45 style Martins. We tweaked it a little…. dropped the “CF” and used Ivoroid instead of Abalone or MOP. This guitar has allot of power and presence thanks to the adirondack top and the forward shifted bracing pattern. This particular model also features a vintage sunburst finish.
Collings D1 Adirondack 1 11/16" Nut Width
The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is the most popularsteel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world. While Collings iscertainly not the only company to build them, they bring a new tonalclarity to the depth and warmth usually associated with such a large,deep-bodied guitar. Although its bass response makes the dreadnought ideal for vocal accompaniment, Collings versions are also often employed by bluegrass flatpickers who must compete with inherently louder instruments such as banjos and fiddles. The wide range of woods and neck sizes offered allow dreadnought fans to find a Collings model ideally suited to their playing style and tonal preference.
*This guitar includes the new traditional Collings made hardshell case.
