We’re super excited about Martin’s newest travel guitar… the Martin Dreadnought Junior! It features all solid wood top & back, a Fishman pickup, and a gig bag making it the ideal travel / leisure guitar! Fashioned for player comfort, clear powerful tone and easy action, the Dreadnought Junior is reduced to approximately 15/16” of the full Martin 14-fret Dreadnought dimension (14 ¼” width at the lower bout) with an easy to play 24” scale length. A solid Sitka spruce top features scalloped ¼” high performance X-bracing with a single asymmetrical tone bar. The back and sides are bookmatched from sapele. The fingerboard and bridge are made from Richlite, an ebony alternative with similar hardness and appearance. The Dreadnought Junior (aka “D Jr”) comes factory-equipped with Fishman’s Sonitone sound reinforcement system and includes a great nylon gig bag.
The solid ovangkol/spruce 412ce features Taylor’s compact Grand Concert body shape, a short-scale neck, and a Venetian cutaway for an ultra-playable fretting experience. Ovangkol shares rosewood’s full-spectrum tonal range, with a slightly fuller midrange and a bright, focused top end. The smaller body will curb the overtones and fit well in a mix with other instruments. Taylor’s Expression System® 2 pickup delivers clear, natural sounding amplified tone for gigging or recording. Aesthetic details include white binding, Italian acrylic dot fretboard inlays, a three-ring rosette, and a full-gloss body. The guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
Martin D-28 Custom 0912
The custom D-28 features a one piece genuine Mahogany neck, hand selected custom shop woods. This guitar plays great and sounds even better. Featuing the classic non-scalloped braced sound. Full tone with great bass rresponse.
Taylor 712e 12-Fret Western Sunburst
A Western Sunburst top and slotted headstock bring refined modern-vintage appeal to this 12-fret Grand Concert, featuring Indian rosewood paired with Lutz spruce. The 12-fret’s shorter neck meets the body at the 12th fret instead of the 14th, which shifts the bridge position closer to the center of the lower bout. The result is impressive tonal warmth and power from the smaller body style. Rosewood back and sides flavor the sound with a sweeping frequency range, while Lutz spruce yields a dynamic response. The compact body emphasizes clarity and balance, and helps keep the overtones in check, making this a great option for recording both solo and with other instruments. The 24-7/8-inch neck adds slinky comfort to the playing experience. Wood-rich aesthetic details include Hawaiian koa binding, a herringbone-style rosette featuring Douglas fir with maple/black accents, and bias-cut Douglas fir top trim, while the “weathered brown” pickguard design complements the earthy color tones of the rosewood and wood trim. Taylor’s onboard ES2 electronics supply a top-notch pickup and preamp for impeccable amplified acoustic tone.
This cutaway edition of our 100 Series Dreadnought gives flatpickers and strummers an open road to explore the upper register, rewarding the excursion with strong, clear treble notes that will make solos shine. The guitar features Taylor’s signature thin-profile neck and a hand-friendly 1 11/16-inch nut width. The layered walnut construction is both resilient and visually appealing, and together with the solid Sitka spruce top, projects a great sound that will improve with age. Taylor’s ES2 pickup cleanly translates the guitar’s tonal nuances into a warm amplified acoustic voice that lets your playing come through loud and clear.
